I think “someday” may be the currency of my life.
It’s the IOU I give myself every morning and every night.
I spend my somedays in big and small ways:
Someday you’ll be a person who enjoys getting up at 5 a.m.
Someday you’ll publish your book.
Someday you’ll lose fifty pounds.
Someday you’ll start writing poetry again.
Someday you’ll clean your kitchen every time you cook.
(Someday you’ll actually cook every day.)
Someday you’ll run a half-marathon.
Someday you’ll be content.
We all procrastinate, but I’m tired of waiting to kick-start my vision for my life.
I don’t want to wake up at 40 still promising myself that I’ll write the book, take the next step, eat five servings of vegetables and greet the sun with yoga.
I’m ready to start living my best life now. To push myself to consciously consider the choices I make every day, to ask whether this moment will help make me happier or healthier. Will this decision get me closer to turning Someday Into Now?
Maybe you can relate. If so, follow along. We may just learn something together.
Love,
Ashley
I could learn a lot from this. From you!
